Sometimes the best acne treatments are home remedies you can make at home or find in your refrigerator. If you dont have the money (or the stomach) for dermatological treatments, or if youre not sold on those expensive cleansers and toners from the dermatologists office, try some of these acne treatment remedies for a few weeks, and see how well they work for you.

1. Honey: Yes, its sticky, and a little uncomfortable to wear, but honey has a certain antibacterial element that makes it a great remedy for your zits and blackheads. Simply dab a little bit of honey on a Q-tip and apply it in topical portions to each of your spots. This also works for those stubborn cysts on your chest and back. I usually apply honey right before I go to bed, but if youre putting it on your body, I suggest you do it in the daytime so you can wear a tank top or something that wont stick to the honey.

Once the honey is dried, wash it off with warm water and pat your face dry with a soft, clean washcloth.

2. Egg yolk: Another rather sticky acne treatment is the egg yolk. As you might have already guessed, youre going to whip it up and put it on your face. Before you do so, separate the egg yolk from the egg white either by cracking it into your hand over a bowl and separating it manually or by scooping the yolk out of a bowl with a spoon. Whisk it with a whisk or a fork, stick a cotton ball in the yolk, and apply it to your T-zone and other oily parts of your face.

Let it sit for 15-20 minutes, wash it off with warm water, and again, pat dry with a soft, clean washcloth.

3. Aloe vera: The last of the acne treatments and home remedies is aloe vera. You can apply the aloe vera that you get in a bottle from the grocery store or Walmart to help sunburns. Its usually chilly too, so it will help relieve some of the redness and swelling that youre experiencing from your acne.

Squeeze a little aloe vera onto your fingertips, smear a little on each spot, and let dry. Theres no need to wash off the aloe vera, so you can apply it anytime during the day or before you go to bed.

You may be dealing with the common skin condition known as acne for so many months now. You may have tried various prescription creams and acne products in the market. And all of these efforts may be in vain. Fortunately, there are effective home remedies for acne that actually work.

While acne can happen to anyone at just about any time, for the most part, it actually occurs when the person hits adolescence. This is because adolescence is that time in your life wherein you will experience so many hormonal changes. One significant hormonal change would involve your sebaceous glands, the organs responsible for the production of sebum oil. These glands actually become too active in producing sebum oil. This becomes to the point that the excess oil would then become clogged in your facial pores. Once this happens, your skin becomes irritated and inflamed, paving the way for the formation of acne. When this happens, there are actually a number of natural methods you can try out. What’s more, when you employ natural treatment methods for your acne, you actually do away with the usage of harmful chemicals. This way, you are sure to use safer products for your condition.

The first thing that you can try is a gentle cleanser. For this method, you have to make sure that the cleanser you use is specially made for acne. This way, the cleanser you use will surely be free of chemicals that can only worsen your condition. Also, when you apply cleanser on your face, be sure to dab as gently as you can.

Heaving a healthy diet is also a natural method that you should not leave out at all. Fruits and vegetables should be part of your daily diet. Be sure to drink the prescribed number of glasses of water for each day. When you drink water, you are actually giving your body the chance to detoxify naturally. And when the body undergoes detoxification, excess oil can also be taken out of your system. Aside from water, you should also drink a lot of fruit juices. They have fat-burning properties, which can also tone down the production of excess oils.

Lastly, another very effective remedy for acne is to stop picking at your face. This may be quite difficult, especially because acne can be very itchy. However, you should exert the needed effort to stop yourself from picking at your acne. This way, you won’t do anything to worsen your condition.

If you want to achieve clear and smooth complexion without damaging your skin and wallet, check out these Home Remedies For Acne and you will be pleasantly surprised.
